Born in the USA....a 4th of July American Girl!

Kayla turned 9 this year!...I can't believe how fast time has gone by!. I've been passing our family tapes into CDs and it feels it was just not long ago when she was a little baby!. She was adorable and she still IS!. We for sure love her dearly and as Mimi said the other day: "Kayla is the heart of our family, our family wouldn't be the same without her!". She is such a funny, cute, strong and beautiful girl. She amaze us with her personality everyday...sweet and strong willing at the same time.
Kayla wanted a B-day party with all her friends this year. She didn't had one last year. I think she missed having lots of presents..ha!. She asked for a fun party and that's was she got!. We had the party one week before from her B-day because we were concern about the cold weather so we decided to do it June 21st.
We got the B-day cup cakes she wanted, ice cream, games, a movie and water!. Aunt Melanie came to be in charge of the games and spend this day with Kayla. Melanie has been our girls "favorite aunt" since they were little girls. Kayla and Mimi has been good friends with Melanie and I love to see that relationship growing as they grow older into their teens years. I'm happy that they have a friend in somebody I know truly loves them and that if I'm not there for my girls for any reason they will have somebody who they can count and trust on.
Kayla had a wonderful time, everybody was happy and I was exhausted!...so, I got to lay down to rest after all the girl left. Oh how much I needed it!!!...we are not getting younger here.
